OVERVIEW
Compact but wonderfully varied, Lake Manyara packs groundwater forest, open grassland, a soda lake and the sheer wall of the Rift Valley into one park. It is famous for its tree-climbing lions and, when the waters are right, great pink drifts of flamingos.
